Our digital process
Making better digital easy

Here’s how we work
1
Discovery
Our projects usually require a high level of collaboration. We'll come and meet you in person to understand your business requirements.
We'll ask questions about your goals, stakeholders, and the user personas involved in the project.
This is an in-depth process that takes time, as we work to create comprehensive documentation for your software product.
Some of the questions we ask include:
- What do you hope to achieve?
- What do you like and dislike about your current solution?
- What do your customers want to get out of this digital tool?
- What third-party systems do you need to integrate?
- What digital skills and resources do you have in-house?
2
Draft scope
This is where we present our initial solutions with a detailed breakdown of what’s involved.
Scoping your project confirms we’ve understood your brief correctly and makes sure we’re all on the same page. We sum up what we understand, suggest high level solutions, and estimate.
Some digital challenges require more detailed exploration to come up with the best solution for your business, so if your project is complex we’ll give you a price range. We do our best to estimate within five working days.
3
Detailed scope
At this stage we review the estimated scope and work with you to prepare a detailed scope for your project, so we have a clear plan of action. This may involve making tweaks to the initial scope so it is fully aligned with your vision as well as ours.
This detailed scope may include:
- A site map showing how your digital tool will be structured.
- User stories that show ways your customers will use your tool.
- Diagrams that show how your tool will work.
- Details of how other digital tools will be connected.
We’ll work closely with you, explaining how things could work, discussing your options, and making sure you’re happy with the solutions we propose.
When the scope is complete, we ask you to approve it before we build. We use Agile project management methodology, so your scope may evolve as your project progresses, but projects start far more efficiently when we’ve all agreed on the first steps.
4
Design
We start the design phase with interactive, clickable wireframes, so you can navigate around the skeleton of your website and see how it works. Once you’re happy with your wireframes we build a design system which will be the foundation for your site’s design.
Design is a collaborative process, we regularly check in and review designs with you, as we go. Our designs are created with your brand image and audience experience in mind. This is important to maintain the consistency of your branding.
Your estimate includes two rounds of edits.
5
Develop
When we start building your project, we break the work into weekly phases. Each week, we plan tasks, assign developers, and keep you updated on what’s happening.
We are completely transparent throughout all stages of the project and provide you with access to the project management system.
In the first few weeks, we work on behind-the-scenes foundations to make everything run smoothly. Next we move to the front-end, this is where we share visible progress and engage your involvement.
We follow an agile approach, meaning we build in stages, test as we go, and continuously improve. Depending on your project’s size and complexity, we’ll either schedule weekly check-ins or send updates. For larger projects, we use tools like ClickUp, Trello, and Jira, so you can track progress and make requests as needed.
6
Test and populate
Once we start sharing progress, we begin testing to make sure everything works as it should.
We test our work in three ways:
- White box testing where we review the backend of your site. The way we build is as considered as the design of your digital tool.
- Black box testing where we test the tool like a user.
- Automated testing where we write programs to test larger projects.
Once we’re confident everything is working smoothly, it’s time to add content. You can either upload it yourself or we can. We’ll confirm this with you at the start of your project.
This is also when you’ll thoroughly review the site, test it on your end, and log any issues or changes using your project management tool.
7
Launch
We’ll agree and execute a launch plan with you, which will be tailored to whether you’re planning a soft launch or a high-profile launch.
When your new website goes live, you will have a 30-day post-launch guarantee where we continue to offer support.
After your launch, you can choose to move to one of our support plans, so we can ensure your website continually evolves and stays up to date.
